St. Bernard Parish - Children's Ministry Opportunities

St. Bernard Children's Choir

All third through eighth grade students at Wauwatosa Catholic School or in Religious Education at St. Bernard Parish are invited to join the St. Bernard Children's Choir. The children sing once a  month for the 10:00 am Sunday Mass, usually the first Sunday of the month. The Wauwatosa Catholic School students sing for the weekly school Mass at 8:15 am on Wednesdays. In December, we sing for the Christmas Eve Mass at 4:00 pm. We also sing at a nursing home and at Hart Park Square during December.

Rehearsals for Wauwatosa Catholic School students are after school on Thursdays from 3-4 pm. There are not auditions. All that is necessary is dedication and a love of singing. If you have any questions please call Mrs. Gail Martin at 414-771-3854.

Youth Servers at weekend Masses

Students in grades 4 and up have the opportunity to be Youth Servers at weekend Masses at St. Bernard Parish.

St. Pius X Parish - Children's Ministry Opportunities

ACOLYTES

Our Acolyte Ministry (Altar Servers) invite families, single adults, teenagers, and any students who have made their First Communion to join in this very special ministry. As an acolyte you serve the congregation by helping to set things up and put them away, carrying the cross and candles in procession and assisting at the Lord's table with water and wine. Acolytes are scheduled according to their availability.

STAINED GLASS SINGERS & STAINED GLASS RINGERS

The Stained Glass Singers is a choral group for students in 1st grade and up. This group will sing occasionally at one of the weekend liturgies at St. Pius X, and as part of the combined choir at school liturgies. Please contact Kathy Wellenstein or the St. Pius X parish office for rehearsal schedule information.

The Stained Glass Ringers is a hand chime and hand bell ringing group for students in 3rd grade and up. This group will play occasionally at one of the weekend liturgies at St. Pius X, and if enough ringers are available at some school liturgies.
