“Soles for Catholic Education” Walk

Registration is FREE through September 21, 2015.

A $10.00 registration fee will be charged to all registrants who register after September 21.
8:30am - in-person registration and packet pick-up
9:40am - pre-walk warm up
9:50am - opening ceremony including 620 WTMJ’s Gene Mueller and prayer with Archbishop Listecki
10:00am - 2 mile walk starts
The 2-mile walk will begin in the northwest circle driveway on Mount Mary University’s campus and proceed south on the Menomonee River Parkway to Swan Blvd and return via the parkway to Mount Mary.
10am – 12noon - “Souls Celebration” with refreshments, music and children’s activities
Kids’ activities provided by the Milwaukee Admirals, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World, Kohl’s Wild Theatre, Pius XI Comedy Team, Trainfest and more! Have a button made with your name written in Chinese by the high school students at Pius XI. Music by “Hot off the Grill.”
Raising pledges is easy! Ask friends, family, alumni, etc to sponsor your participation in the walk. Visitors to the website may enter the name of the school they are supporting and submit payment immediately or they can send a check directly to the school, attention School Walk Captain or add Soles Walk to memo line. In both cases they should state the name of the walker they are sponsoring. 100% of cash/check donations made directly to Wauwatosa Catholic School remain with Wauwatosa Catholic School and benefit the tuition assistance fund.

Everyone who makes a pledge via the Walk website will receive an automated email detailing their donation. If you donate directly to your school via cash or check, please contact the School Office to get a receipt for your tax deductible donation.

In 2014, more than 9,000 registered walkers participated for many reasons:
- To raise awareness about the many benefits of Catholic education
- To have fun celebrating their Catholic faith
- To build community by bringing together our 202 parishes and 114 Catholic schools
- To raise money to ensure that Catholic education remains affordable and accessible
